Class Descriptions
Vinyasa Flow
See schedule for each class level.
Vinyasa Flow classes emphasize techniques to build an internal fire, agni, and harnessing that internal heat to create change in our bodies and lives. Surya Namaskars, or sun salutations, and breath fluidly link one asana to another. Vinyasa Flow classes may vary in theme and emphasis and offer prompts for students to progress more deeply into poses their own personal practice advances.
Slow Flow
Suitable for all levels.
Slower movement through Surya Namaskars and longer holding of standing poses with proper alignment allows greater deepening and builds a strong foundation for faster asana practices. The class ends with calming poses and systematic relaxation to be the perfect end to your day.
Yoga for Every Body
Beginner friendly and suitable for all levels - come explore at your working edge.
Cultivate space and stability via this breath-centric, mindfulness based practice. We move and flow at a pace that allows each pose to come into focus, using inner listening and outer cues for proper alignment and stability. This class integrates breathing techniques to deepen the postures, and ends with deep relaxation for integration.
Chakra Flow
Suitable for all levels.
This class is vinyasa flow based class with a focus on the five elements of the body. During the class students are led through a complementary set of asanas which are coupled with a meditative technique that brings the student from the external to the internal. From the subtle internal spaces the student is led into meditation upon the eternal truth of being. Your body, mind and spirit will feel refreshed and connected to the underlying indwelling peace that is ever-present and unchanging. Read more about the chakras here.

Suitable for all levels; good choice for runners and athletes.
This quieter, gentle class allows for deep relaxation and the release of tension and stress. Gentle stretching and simple movements increase range of motion and flexibility. Props are used to support the body safely and completely in the poses. This class is appropriate for students of all ages, shapes and physical abilities. It is also beneficial for those recovering from injuries or living with pain. Students will leave this class renewed, with an increased sense of peace and well-being.
Yoga Basics
Suitable for beginners as well as those seeking a restorative practice.
This “back-to-basics” class will include instruction in classic yoga postures (asanas) and fundamental breathing techniques (pranayama). Yoga Basics will include an invigorating and creative flow of movements synchronized with the breath. An emphasis will be placed on proper alignment in order to achieve maximum health benefits from the poses. Although designed for beginners, Yoga Basics will also include modifications for intermediate or continuing yoga practitioners. Regardless of experience, this focus on the fundamentals will assist with developing and improving core strength and overall muscle tone, increasing flexibility and range of motion, maintaining balance, increasing energy and vitality, and reducing tension and stress.
Hatha & Core
Suitable for all levels; not suitable during pregnancy.
Taught either as a hatha or slow flow class with emphasis on activating and toning core abdominal muscles and stimulating the digestive system. The activation and development of multiple layers in the abdomen and pelvis will be explored through fundamental yoga postures. Working together these muscles create a functional container both emotionally and physically. This class may include yogic techniques such as agni sara to promote dynamic and lively health.
Vinyasa & Core
Suitable for all levels.
Everyone’s practice can benefit from strengthening the core. In this Vinyasa style class, we will link breath with movement to flow through poses; play with arm balances and inversions; improve overall strength, flexibility and balance, all the while bringing a deeper awareness to the physical and energetic core.
Hatha
Suitable for all levels.
We will start class by connecting our minds with the breath, clearing tension and extra thoughts. We then progress into an organic flow of body and breath-- opening the heart, clearing the mind, strengthening the body. We will release toxins as we twist and flow. Final relaxation allows our bodies to receive the gifts of this practice. Our hearts will be open, minds clear, and breath healing and peaceful. Shanti Om, Namaste.
Joints, Glands and Stress Relief
Restorative class; suitable for all levels.
This class is designed to increase flexibility and range of motion in your joints while increasing circulation or blood and lymph throughout your body. Select asanas will focus on stimulating the endocrine system to strengthen immunity, regulate metabolism and balance the body. Yogic breathing (pranayama) and guided meditation techniques will cultivate relaxation, melt away stress and create a sense of well-being.
Yin Yoga
In Yin Yoga practice, sequencing is slow and simple poses are held longer with a minimum of muscular engagement, and often with the support of props. This allows the connective tissue, ligaments, and joints to open and release deeply stored tensions. The typically stiff areas of the body - the low back, hips, and spine - are the focus for our practice. The class includes seated poses, mindful breathing exercises, and ends with a guided relaxation.
Come feel into the body with out an agenda and alleviate chronic stiffness, whether it results from an active lifestyle or prolonged sitting. The benefits include healthier joints, increased energy, and ease in the mind and body.
