Looking for a New Edge? This is not a typical boot camp or a typical yoga class. This is a kick-your-asana class, Abhyaasa style. Come prepared for a disciplined, mindful workout. We will be peaceful and present, yet powerful, strong warriors. Tabata Yoga Boot Camp will consist of a whole body warm-up, four Tabatas, a cool down, and final relaxation (savasana). What the heck is a Tabata? Tabata is a high intensity interval-training workout that alternates between 20 seconds of intensity and 10 seconds of rest. Learn about the origins here. Studies have shown that as little as one “Tabata” (or 4 minutes of this protocol) can increase your aerobic capacity, anaerobic capacity, and resting metabolic rate, helping you burn more fat. We will do this with a true yogic approach—focused, balanced, and breath-centric. Please bring a towel, water, and expect to sweat.
